Love For "Love On The Line"

This review is for the novel "Love on the Line" by Deeanne Gist.

This is a historical fiction novel and it is great!
I highly recommend you check it out asap!

I normally love the books Deeanne writes and was super excited to be able to be a part of the blog tour for this particular novel.

One of the things I really enjoyed about this book is learning some things about how telephones and the lines worked back in the day.  It was very interesting to read just for that alone. The story is also great!
There was plenty of action while still having romance entwined throughout it. The book will keep you wondering and intrigued.

Georgie is a super independent switchboard operator in a rural county. She has her own house and a loyal love for birds. Her garden has been made into an oasis for the creatures. She is as fiercely protective of them as she is of her own independence. That makes the appearance of Luke Palmer in "her" town and "her" telephone business even more disturbing and annoying. She doesn't need this man telling her how to run this business!

Luke Palmer, better known as Lucious Landrum, isn't sure how he is going to work being a telephone repairmen. He knows nothing about doing it, but is determined to succeed if that's what it takes to catch the train robbers he is after.
What he didn't happen to bargain on was a spitfire by the name of Georgie.

She is as fascinating to him as she is frustrating. Neither knows what to make of the other but they are forced to work together. Sparks will fly but they might not be the romantic kind.
