Love Finds You in Mackinac Island Michigan *A Blog Tour*

This book review is for the novel "Love Finds You In Mackinac Island Michigan" by Melanie Dobson.

Let me just start off by saying that I am a HUGE fan of the "Love Finds You" series which is published by Summerside Press.

The cover of this novel immediately drew me in and made me want to read the story, as it reminded me of one of my favorite movies, Anne of Green Gables. Any Anne fans out there like me??

Anyway, back to the subject at hand, I loved this book! It is such a great love story wrapped up in so much more! I loved the old feeling and the historical vibe of the story while it still maintained your interest in the goings on of the characters. And you could still somewhat relate to them. I was drawn into the story from the very first page and kept trying to guess what was up with the main male character.

I felt for Elena as her mother tried to force her toward THE eligible bachelor and you find yourself rooting for her to be able to break free from what feels like a prison. No one wants to marry someone that they don't love but it obviously happened many many times back in the days of this book setting.

Elena Bissette, has an adventurous streak to her. She is tired of the endless mind-numbing chit chat all of the matrons and socialites choose to engage in and longs to be able to go off an explore the beautiful island that she calls home for the season. However, Elena's mother has one thing on her mind and it isn't letting Elena run wild.
She has one very particular bachelor in her cross hairs and determines that Elena shall snag him and in doing so, shall secure the families place in society once again. With the family failing so drastically financially they look to Elena to save the family fortune and good name with a well placed match. Elena has plans of her own, which do not include being forced into a loveless marriage. She meets a handsome stranger and finds herself falling for him as they work together to solve an age old mystery. But could each of her two paths end up leading her to the same destination in the end?

Love Finds You in Martha's Vineyard Massachusetts

This book review is for the novel "Love Finds You in Martha's Vineyard Massachusetts" by Melody Carlson.

So far, I haven't ever read anything not worth reading by Melody. I am amazed at all of the books that she has published and the fact that they just seem to keep getting better.

I also am loving everything I am reading by Summerside Press, I am excited to read more of their books and share my reviews on them.

Waverly Brennan is a gifted artist that is desperate for a fresh start in life.

When her mother (who she has not such a close relationship with) calls her out of the blue and offers her a position at the gallery she and Waverly's aunt just acquired.

Feeling like this is an answer to her many uttered prayers, Waverly, jumps at the chance to move out to Martha's Vineyard. She quickly packs tings up and lets her apartment go, planning as she goes exactly what she will do with the gallery and how great her life will be on the island.

However, once she arrives, she realizes her mother's new business is not exactly what she had been picturing this whole time.

She is stuck there at least for the summer so she decides to make the best of it and give the job a go.

Not to mention the very distracting handsome man and his quirky daughter that have attracted her attention.

Little does Waverly know, there is a very important reason that her mother has asked her to take this job and spend all this time in the Vineyard with her and her aunt.

I will admit that this book will probably make you tear up at least a little but it is definitely worth the read!
